COLUMBIA, Mo. – Continuing a pattern of hiding from Missourians while making time for the out-of-state billionaires who fund his campaign, Josh Hawley skipped the Newton County Republican Party Bean Feed this past weekend but made time to appear on NYC billionaire John Catsimatidis’ radio show. Hawley was the only Republican U.S. Senate candidate not to attend the Bean Feed.
In the interview, Catsimatidis explains that he first learned Hawley was running for Senate when they spoke at the Koch Brothers summit in New York City. As a reminder, Hawley flew to NYC to answer questions from the Koch Brothers three days after announcing his campaign, but has yet to hold a public campaign event in Missouri.
“Josh Hawley has made it crystal clear that he does not care about the people of Missouri, skipping out on opportunities to make his case to voters while making time to talk to the out-of-state billionaires who fund his campaign,” said Missouri Democratic Party Communications Director Meira Bernstein.
